Protest!

In the installation ''Protest''by Kushtrim Zeqiri, dozens of relativity small mice are spread on a surface.

The distance between them is relatively homogeneous and they face different directions.Position of the mice resembles a mined field through which one cannot pass safely.

This gives a feeling that we are dealing with some kind of an alarm for something dangerous.

This feeling is reinforced by a background noise that indirectly insinuates the act of capturing or murdering mice.Considering the fact that mice are still used in labs for testing in the field of medicine, and considering the fact that we live in a civilized that still allows by law, the artist expresses his revolt against this mistreatment or even murder of animals. He satirically allows mice to protest for their rights, using a human way of expression of their protest. He tries to make people understand closely the message of the mice, or the message of the artist, not to use mice for laboratory research, not to treat them as if they were not live beings. It is a protest and a call at the same time, for awareness of society towards animals.
